Jobs to be done framework example1/7/2024 The 'to-be-done' means it’s unresolved at this point in time.Ī trigger is something that is happening, either within you or external to you, that informs the job to be done. My favourite definition is based on Ash Maurya's description:Ī job-to-be-done is the manifestation of an unmet need or want, in response to a trigger. Ulwick’s approach offers some interesting insight, especially through some of the lenses and tools he uses, but for me at least, it’s the exploration of higher-level customer motivations and contexts that feels like the richest area for exploration.īut let's start at the beginning. The second approach, made popular by Tony Ulwick of Strategyn consultancy, forms part of Ulwick’s Outcome Driven Innovation framework and combines some of the high-level thinking with more task-orientated processes. One approach, advocated by the likes of Clayton Christensen, Rewired Group and Alan Klement is focused on the idea of progress and desires - often at a high-level. If you have come into contact with JTBD, you have probably come across one of two approaches. Marketing - Getting people to switch to your product, and retaining the ones you have.Product - Know what to build, plus the experiential and functional qualities it should have.Strategy - Aligning your vision and mission with customers or finding gaps and opportunities in markets. With an understanding of the “job” for which customers find themselves “hiring” a product or service, companies can more accurately develop and market products well-tailored to what customers are already trying to do". Customers rarely make buying decisions around what the “average” customer in their category may do - but they often buy things because they find themselves with a problem they would like to solve. "A tool for evaluating the circumstances that arise in customers’ lives. Leading proponent of Jobs-theory, Harvard professor Clayton Christensen, describes Jobs to be done (JTBD) as: Jobs-to-be-done (or Jobs-theory) is a framework for understanding why people do what they do.

What We Don't Love: Not actually made in Austria What We Love: Portable, sturdy construction, easy to use, blades are very strong Here, my list of the best food choppers to help your food prep go more smoothly. What should you look for in a food chopper when there are so many options? Make sure to look for a solid blade and to pay attention to capacity, depending on how many people you are cooking for chopper capacity can range from 1 to 5 cups on average. And cleanup with a food chopper is easy: Many of the brands are dishwasher-safe and others are simple to wipe down. Some manual choppers have a pull cord others you have to press down to chop. Most food choppers are either electric or manual. It's the perfect tool for someone who likes to cook but may not be as proficient in the kitchen, or for someone who needs to get food on the table faster.Ī food chopper is often smaller than a food processor, although it can be used for similar purposes. It makes chopping onions quicker-and takes the tears out of it as well.Ī food chopper is also a safer option if you aren’t a pro with a kitchen knife-such as for making those small diced cuts or, in some cases, mincing. It’s the perfect tool for dicing up onions, celery, and carrots for a mirepoix (a flavor base) or if you are making something like a pico de gallo. Food chopper may not be deemed a kitchen necessity, but once you use one, you’ll realize how much easier it is to dice and chop up everything from vegetables to hard cheeses to nuts.

Lighthouse keeper hat1/7/2024 ^ a b "Historic Light Station Information and Photography: Alaska" (PDF).^ Scotch Cape Light Lighthouse Explorer.^ Alaska Historic Light Station Information & Photography United States Coast Guard.University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A skeletal tower replaced the 1950s structure, and the fog signal was discontinued. The new permanent structure was completed in the early 1950s, and the temporary light was discontinued. In 1946, in the wake of the tsunami disaster, a temporary unwatched light was established. Keeper-class cutter USCGC Anthony Petit (WLM-558), based in Ketchikan, Alaska, is named in honor of the fallen lighthouse keeper. This was the worst disaster to ever befall a land-based Coast Guard light station. The entire five-man crew was killed they were Anthony Petit, the lighthouse keeper Jack Colvin, fireman first class Dewey Dykstra, seaman first class Leonard Pickering, motor machinist's mate second class and Paul James Ness, seaman first class. On April 1, 1946, the station was destroyed by a massive tsunami created by a powerful earthquake. The 1940 aid to navigation was the "twin" of the Sand Hills Light in Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula, replicating much of its design. The 60 survivors lived at the station for several weeks because rough seas prevented a rescue ship from reaching the station. In 1942, the Russian freighter Turksib wrecked near the station. In 1940, a new concrete reinforced lighthouse and fog-signal building was erected near the site of the original lighthouse. In 1930, the Japanese freighter Koshun Maru became lost in a snowstorm and beached near the light. The 194 crew members were guests of the keepers for two weeks before a rescue ship could remove them. In 1909, the cannery supply ship Columbia wrecked. According to the Coast Guard Historian's Office, the lighthouse was witness to several ship wrecks. The original lighthouse was a 45-foot (14 meter) wood tower on an octagonal wood building. It was the first station established on the outside coast of Alaska. The Scotch Cap Light is a series of lighthouses located on the southwest corner of Unimak Island in Alaska.

Point break 2015 trailer 21/6/2024 The kind of movie you watch once and never go back to, because there's a much better Point Break available to go back to | Point Break (2015) | Movies (function(w,d,s,l,i). So, I can't quite condemn the movie and tell you it's objectively bad. It's quite severely underwritten and the stakes don't quite add up, but its heart is in the right place and it definitely has a sense of humor about itself. If it was called something else or maybe just Point Break 2, it would've suffered a lot less from the comparison game. Its main problem is that it's called Point Break. In Alcon Entertainments fast-paced, high-adrenaline action thriller Point Break, a young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of. Point Break is not a good movie, but I couldn't get myself to hate it. If you're going for a traumatic scene, make it important, you know? Otherwise, just have Utah blow his knee like in the first movie. For example, the death of Johnny Utah's friend in the beginning is barely ever heard of again and comes off as unnecessary pathos. And the movie cuts on much needed exposition to make place for these scenes. There maybe is 60 to 75 minutes of story and action crammed into Point Break and the rest is just beautiful and elaborate stunts, which is great in itself, but not exactly what I wanted to see. There's a long snowboarding scene, a long flying squirrel suit scene, a long motocross scene and it's not a long movie. After the rip-roaring first thirty minutes, the movie becomes somewhat of a YouTube highlight reel. The second writing problem Point Break suffers from is. Can you cut a brother some slack here? What have you done to make the world better, Utah? Point Break treats Serious Bodhi like the bad guy and Johnny Utah like the good guy, yet their actions indicate the complete opposite. Why should the audience give a shit about catching eco-terrorists who give their larceny back to people? The movie tries really hard to make you root for Utah over Serious Bodhi. There's a scene where they're partying to honor a crew member's death and Utah tells Serious Bodhi something along the lines of: "I see a lot of taking, but not a lot of giving." Motherfucker, he made money and diamonds RAIN FROM THE SKY. The first is that the stakes aren't pertinent. It suffers from two major writing problems. But with all the baggage from the last twenty years, is he fit enough to get his new man With Keanu Reeves and Ge. So, Point Break is not quite a sloppy tribute to its predecessor, but it's still a terrible movie. Keanu Reeves is back as agent Johnny Utah. There's way too many fucking jet skis in there. The boat scene where Johnny Utah and Serious Bodhi fight over a surfing wave is also great. The fight choreography is admirable compared to your usual hand trapping bullshit, but that scene has no purpose whatsoever, except you how cool and tough and in-the-know Serious Bodhi ( Edgar Ramirez) and his friends are. My favorite being a totally unnecessary Fight Club knockoff set in an overwhelmingly bleak setting where a car is inexplicably burning in the background. The movie definitely has a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor about itself, which transpire in the slew of baditude scenes. Point Break is surprisingly good, for thirty minutes or so. Extremely dangerous criminals here, you know? Utah is assigned to the case because he's the only one who figured they might be YouTube guys too. Then, they stole money money stacks from a plane. The first case Utah investigates is a mysterious crew that robbed 100 million dollars worth of diamond and made it rain on poor people. He retires and becomes an FBI agent after his sidekick ( Max Thieriot) literally falls off a cliff on the job. This iteration of Johnny Utah ( Luke Bracey) was an "extreme polyathlete", which mean he made a living shooting YouTube videos of motocross stunts. The story of this Point Break reboot is a little different. But the Point Break reboot fails on its own terms and wasn't that far from being a (humble) success. So, the new Point Break movie was definitely unwanted, but it is bad? Could we have been overlooking it like an overachieving red-headed stepchild? Well, the short answer is no. It ages like a good Merlot and becomes more ridiculous and inexplicable with every year. Few people remember it, but those who do remember it fiercely and watch it every couple months/years. I don't know anyone who's actually seen it that 1) doesn't think it's anything but great and 2) thought it was a good idea to give it a reboot.

Lone hill onyx cave1/6/2024 We decided to give it a shot and see if we could make our way out anyway.Īs we started out down the stream the current was much stronger and the wind was rushing in through the passage much more than it was when we entered. For a moment there was concern we would have to spend the night in the cave until the water level went down. Upon checking the water level it was noted that the water was now above the red line by a few inches meaning the water had risen just under 12 inches. We began to load our canoes back into the water for our paddle out when Paul noticed the water gauge, that was stuck in the mud when we entered, was now floating. I think he was trying to tell us it was time for us to leave. While we sat on the mud bank, there was a large Brown bat on the wall making quite a bit of noise and fluttering his wings. We made it back to the canoes where we sat with lights out for a few minutes to rest and take a few photos. This time while passing through the water it seemed a bit higher than it was during our walk in, though nobody realized just how much higher. Just past this room were chirt bridges that we did not get to see this time due to time and exhuastion of a few of the group members.Īfter enjoying this room for a nice relaxing rest, we started our way back to the canoes. Water lightly fell from the top of the dome in two spots adding to the intensity of the room. We hiked the cave to a very large dome that was just amazing, which is much further back in the cave than the normal tour would take you. At one point we thought they may have been albinos, but upon closer inspection, noticed areas of melanin on the sides that verified they were not albinos, just very light in color. They Eastern Pippistrels seemed to be extremely light in color. This cave is home to the federally endangered Gray bat as well, though I don't recall seeing any of them. They did exist, but were isolated throughout the cave and you had to work to find and appreciate them.Īlong the way we found a marbled salamander, cave salamander, pickerel frogs, and several bats including Indiana bats, Small Brown bats, Large Brown bats, and Eastern Pippistrels. The cave was not overly abundant with speleothems. Some of the areas along the stream were steep, wet, slippery mud banks that were a bit of a challenge to get through without slipping into the stream which was as deep as 60 feet in some areas (possibly deeper). We started our tour on foot passing through the icy cold stream several times ranging from ankle deep water to chest high water (neck high for some). The level at this time was a few inches below the red line. When we reached the area where we beach the canoes and start out on foot there was a water gauge that measured the water level with a red line to indicate when the water level was too high to enter or exit. This was a fairly tight squeeze going into the cave with the possible hazard of swamping the canoe. We then boarded our canoes and started down the quarter mile stretch of water passage where we had to lay flat in the canoe several times, to pass through spots where the ceiling was low, and pass using our hands on the ceiling to maneuver through. We began our adventure by carrying a 65 lb canoe one quarter mile uphill, over a boardwalk, then down a set of stairs to the cave entrance where we maneuvered the canoes through a tiny entrance into the water. They also provided the canoes and life jackets. The park provided a small emergency pack including trash bags, a lighter, and a candle, for those of us that needed them. The day started out at the park office at 12:00 where our trip leader, Paul Lowry, began with an orientation on a brief history of the cave and where we will be going on this trip. Our visit to Devils Icebox was one that'll be remembered for years to come. Secondary - Barry - From Rock Bridge State Park Primary - Paul Lowry - Columbia Alpine Shop

Steam overlay unturned1/6/2024 I tried to replicate Steam's behavior when launching the game, so basically the injector behaves like Steam. How it works?Īfter starting the game via Playnite, the injector creates a suspended game process, injects an overlay dll with the needed variables into it, and resumes the process. Game playtime will not be saved in Steam. The old play action will be saved, and after overlay disabling will be restored. Once enabled, the plugin will replace the game's play action with its own. In the context menu of the game, select the item "Steam overlay", and click on the button "Enable Steam overlay" (or if the overlay is already enabled, instead it will be "Disable Steam overlay"). Confirm the installation in the opened Playnite window.Download the latest version from releases. Most likely the anti-cheat will simply not let you inject the dll, but just in case it is better not to try to use the overlay at all.
